Textures Regions을 partitions으로 나누고 분류하기 위한 feature 이다. Color의 spatial 정보와 image의 intensity 정보를 갖고 있다. 이웃한 픽셀의 intensity level의 공간적 분포에 의해 texture가 정해진다. Image intensity에 있는 local variations의 반복되는 pattern이다. (point로 정의 될 수 없다.) 위의 이미지는 histogram으로 보면 다 같은 intensity 분포를 갖지만, texture을 이용하면 구분이 가능하다.
